Nov. 4th. Success

I used the blog notes from Cathy Evanoff (?) and found the download for Dell computers Sigma Tel sound card. I tried the download and still couldn't get it to work. I tried again Sun. morning-checking & verifying all of the settings everyone had said.

I was ready to give up when Jeff suggested using Yugma to troubleshoot. I could not believe that I had not raised the volume on my stereo mix. That was the sticking point. I tried calling the Skype test lady & it worked. After our meeting I called Dennis and did a quick interview and was able to record both ends of a telephony call. Yeah!!!!!

My settings were:

Audio repeater:

wave in: AK5370      Wave out: Sigma Tel

Audacity:

Recording and Playback: Sigmatel Audio card

Volume Control Properties:

Playback-Sigma Tel -all checked

Recording-Stereo mix ( selected & volume up)

Sound & Audio Devices:

Playback-Sigma Tel Audio

Recording-Ak5370

To edit the recording & add I had to change Audacity recording back to AK5370 so I could do an introduction.

I was not sure I would be able to do this but thanks to everyone's help I did a recording.

I did catch a quick glimpse at your setting in Yugma.  I see that you corrected Audio Settings on your Control Panel.  OK, now...  Streaming and Beyond.

Hi, Diane.

I was honored to be your "guinea pig" and I'm delighted to hear your good news. Congratulations! You did it! Hip, hip, hooray!
