DOliver-2007-11-03-Telephone-Conversation-2
This is a recording of another phone conversation—but this time
it's with fellow W.A. intern Pam Shoemaker, not the Skype Lady.
I again used Nicecast and Audio Hijack Pro (both Mac apps),
plus the Mac version of Audacity, and did a lot more editing in
this one.
2007-11-03 Phone Conversation
This is the first of two Week 2 projects involving recording and editing
a 2-way phone conversation. I used Nicecast, Audio Hijack Pro, and
Audacity. I'm not totally satisfied with the results, but I'm pleased
that I figured out the settings for Nicecast.

- Introduction
Hi, folks. I've been involved in TESL for more than 30 years as a teacher and materials developer and have been active online since the mid 1990s. Much of what I've done has been text-based, but over the past five years or so, I've become more and more interested in online audio—particularly with a focus on natural conversation. I've created online audio materials using Audacity.
Webcast Intern Info
- Primary Operating System
- Mac
- Why do you want to learn to webcast?
I'm particularly interested in online audio, both as a means for sharing information and as a teaching/learning tool and think learning to webcast would be very useful for both of these purposes. I first became interested in the Webcast Academy about a year ago, but my time commitments were stretched too thin to become an intern then. Also, even though I've been a Mac user since the late 1980s, I want to learn to webcast via both a Mac and a PC (and have PCs as well as Macs at home).
- Show Name
- I'm not sure at this point; I might be interested in something involving intercultural communication.
- Worldbridges Participation
I've been a fan of WorldBridges for some time and would probably use the WorldBridges network, particularly for PC-based webcasting.
