Show #2, Women of web 2.0

I feel like the academy awards, I want to thank Jeff Lebow for always being in the wings, supporting, encouraging and cheerleading!

I'd like to thank the Academy...

You probably hear that phrase too often but I assure you it is heartfelt. Last night was very exciting for several reasons. Susan set up a WebHuddle and I set up a SkypeCast. for the first time. We all started in a WebHuddle chat and then migrated to the Skypecast. I learned that the Skype control panel participant list can come and go but the audio remains connected. I also learned why it's important to mute first because anyone can join your Skypecast and you don't always want to hear what they have to say! The great thing about webhuddle was being able to view participant's desktops.

I don't give up easily but I stubbornly attempt to accomplish tasks without fully comprehending the instructions. So when I tried to get the vac working I ran into a problem. I had Skype on, Audacity up, and vac open. I chose cable 1 in Audacity and compared all the settings. I took a phone call, activated the vac and then pressed record in Adacity. It appeared to be recording but the resulting audio file seemed more like a transmission from another planet. I plan to re-read the directions and try again, but if anyone has already overcome this obsticle, please share your secrets with me and anyone else who may be wondering too.

Thanks, Jeff!!!

EdTechTalk

Hey, guys, Today I listened to the EdTech Talk and had the chance to record it using Audacity, with my regular mic and no extra things, just adjusting the settings according to Jeff´s instructions. Cool!!! Everything went smoothly and I was happy to see that I could record it with no problems, although I had to give up my laptop and work on the other computer... Here are the screens of it. Later on I´ll try to play around with the audio. Thanks for all your help! Carla
