Alice Restaurant Show #5: An Interview with Larry Ferlazzo

Submitted by alicemercer on Tue, 2007-11-20 05:34

On Wednesday November 7, 2007 I interviewed fellow Sacramento educator, Larry Ferlazzo. We discussed some of the organizing support for technology projects. Larry shared his experiences getting his school computer lab, and home computer project started. Here are the highlights:

  • The support he had for his project
  • How he makes the case for what he wants (make it in their interest)
  • How to get support (find out who makes the decisions).
  • And most important, it’s all about the relationships, so build them and maintain them.

Larry’s background as a community organizer informs his approach, and gives him a unique perspective on making change. Enjoy an interesting and informative discussion
